Test Analysis
The Performance of the Fagerdala Thermal Control
Systems (FTCS) have been tested with cooling
media like dry ices and phase change materials.
The tests were conducted at an ambient temperature
of 30 deg C using cooling media weighing 7.5kg
and 5.0kg respectively. |
Cooling
Media (Phase Change Material; PCM)
The common types of cooling media include
crushed frozen ices, ice-packs (gel) and dry
ices. In recent year new cooling media are
available like PCMs (Phase Change Materials).
These specialized high
performance PCMs are changing the conventional
way of cooling temperature-sensitive products
during storage and transshipments.
Phase Change Materials (PCMs) are high energy
storage products developed to operate at constant
and useful temperatures. Our PCMs range include
0 deg C, -11 deg C, -20 deg C and -50 deg
C. PCMs are available upon requests.
